Get ready to be part of the “Pibilnah” Temazcal steam bath for healing purposes, an approach to ancient Mayan medicine that was inherited generation by generation.

Our experience begins upon your arrival at Pueblo del Maíz, a place to reconnect with the ancestral essence of Cozumel. Upon arrival at the village, you will accompany us in the elaboration of corn and cocoa foods, seeds of great cultural value for our people, we will know their ritual importance within the Mayan cosmovision; these will be our offerings to the deity of medicine, the moon goddess Ixchel who awaits in her sanctuary.

The secrets of the jungle await, the guardian of the mountain will receive our first offering of incense, it is time to start our walk and go into the jungle to listen to their voices. Accompanied by the sweet aroma of copal, we will follow the jungle trail where our senses will open to teaching the natural world.

The sanctuary of Ixchel will receive you to place the offerings, we will meet before the “grandfather fire” to begin the preparations to enter the Pibilnah, the Temazcal steam bath, where the medicinal and aromatic infusions will guide you to a point of relaxation and reconnection with yourself, a moment dedicated to the healing of body and spirit. When leaving, cool off with the fresh water of the cenote and discover the beauty of the sunset.

We close this experience by sharing a moment of harmony with the gifts of the fertile jungle for our palate; We will enjoy seasonal fruits, seeds, chocolate, tamales and refreshing drinks.
